筆者多年來的學習積累，就英語中較為常見的迷信說法總結如下：

The number thirteen: 西方人13是不吉利的數(shù)字，西方大多數(shù)旅館13號房，許多摩天大樓也13層。迷信與 基督教。在“最后的晚餐”（The Last Supper） 中，猶大第 13位入席的人，后來他背叛耶穌，13就被視為不祥之數(shù)。直到，人們?nèi)?3個人一起吃飯不吉利，某人會在年內(nèi)死去。

每個分句都承載著已知信息與新信息。對于新信息的位置，英語與漢語有明顯不同在英語中，新信息多半在結尾，但受句法框架限制，不在結尾的也不少；而漢語中新信息總在結尾，否則意思不明朗。

最后一句話（Whatever they say, regardless how convincing, will be overpowered by their acttions, the true indication of their attitudes.）使用了一個漂亮的插入語regardless （應該是regardless of how convincing），還使用了一個很貼切的動詞A is overpowered by B，內(nèi)容與中心思想毫無二致。雖然重復，但也算是再一次強調(diào)作者的觀點吧。

另外，作者對語言的把握能力雖然不如6分作文作者那樣駕輕就熟，但全篇沒有什么語法錯誤，句意也很清楚，即使有點小毛病如拼寫錯誤（tragedy），句式結構還是比較老到的。

　　He must have told my parents about it.

　　他一定把這件事情告訴我父母親了。

　　He must have received my letter now.

　　他現(xiàn)在一定收到我的信了。

　　It\'s six o\'clock already, we must have been late again.

　　已經(jīng)六點鐘了，我們一定又遲到了。

　　must 和 have to 的區(qū)別: must 表示說話人的主觀思想, have to 表示客觀需要。

這個思路，貫穿了這套叢書寫作的全部過程。

并且文章使用了一些過渡詞，如one of, although, however, a specific example, for this reason等，使得全文邏輯嚴密自然。
