W: I suppose I do.

W: If you live in other as long enough you love them just as much.

M: Maybe.

W: That\'s for sure.

W:No, no.It\'s not fair to say I disapprove,disappointed perhaps.But anyway nothing I say is likely to make any differcene, is it? I mean you’ve major mind up already, havn’t you? It’s just that, well, I always thought that we’ll turn out differently. We always had particular way of lifedone certain things, movex into certain circle. No I don’t disapprove.

Let\'s face it．面對(duì)現(xiàn)實(shí)吧。常表明說話人不愿意逃避困難的現(xiàn)狀。

在開始段，作者提出自己的觀點(diǎn)，如果只有talent而沒有motivation，要想獲得成功是不可能的（To truly succeed, you need to have at least as much motivation as talent, because if you don't posses the desire to do something, your talent may simply wither from neglect）。接著，作者提到將要講到的兩個(gè)例子，一個(gè)是美國歌手Jewel的故事，一個(gè)是他妹妹的故事。作者在提到自己的觀點(diǎn)前，也講了一些“廢話”來豐富第一段的內(nèi)容。

SAT數(shù)學(xué)的考點(diǎn)涵蓋了國內(nèi)初中、高中絕大部分的內(nèi)容，涉及的知識(shí)面較廣，但是題目的難度不高。

在講了幾句相關(guān)的提示性話語后，作者非常鮮明地提出了自己對(duì)這個(gè)問題的看法（In fact, the quality of a product is far more important），并接著通過寫最近發(fā)生的例子及文學(xué)界的一些例子來支持自己的觀點(diǎn)。

D中的they和their有沒有指代little boys或drawings或stories的可能？這么多復(fù)數(shù)名詞在句子里，難道用they不存在問題嗎？其實(shí)，代詞指代對(duì)象的問題確實(shí)是SAT的一個(gè)灰色區(qū)域，不能據(jù)此作為選擇正確答案的唯一依據(jù)。另外，D中的they指代boys明顯錯(cuò)誤，不可能是“人”被collected的。同樣，指代drawing或stories也是有問題的，不可能是A is collected for A這樣的結(jié)構(gòu)。

所謂主謂一致，是指句子的主語和謂語動(dòng)詞在數(shù)的方面保持一致。比如主語是student，謂語應(yīng)該是is，如果主語是students，謂語應(yīng)該是are。

Ecological light pollution is like the bulldozer of the night, wrecking habitat and disrupting ecosystems several billion years in the making. （metaphor, comparing light pollution to the effects of a “bulldozer”）
