6.to sit down : (to take a sitting position after standing)

【說(shuō)明：】to sit down（坐下）指從站著的姿勢(shì)轉(zhuǎn)取坐下的姿勢(shì)而言。主人請(qǐng)客人坐下可以說(shuō) “Sit down” 或 “have a seat,” 或 “Take a seat,” 或 “Be seated.”

【例：】

(1) After standing for so long, it was a pleasure to sit down and rest.

　　2．Don\'t choose me，who am not qualified for this job．不要選我，我不適合做這項(xiàng)工作。

E選項(xiàng)的問(wèn)題在于用分號(hào)把so… that結(jié)構(gòu)分開了。

1.(剛產(chǎn)生的) newborn; newly born
2.(新生命) new life; rebirth; regeneration; a new lease of [on] life
3.(新入學(xué)的學(xué)生) new student; new pupil

這些詞相對(duì)比較大了，屬于big words ，但在句子中使用得恰到好處，所以并沒(méi)有炫耀詞匯量之嫌。這也證明了，用詞不在于大小，關(guān)鍵是用在句子里是否恰當(dāng)。

英文中的同級(jí)比較用as… as（not as/so… as）表達(dá)，不同級(jí)比較使用more than結(jié)構(gòu)，但SAT中關(guān)于比較的試題不限于此，大致可以歸為以下幾大類。

另外一個(gè)通病就是，很多學(xué)生喜歡使用下列強(qiáng)調(diào)性副詞以使內(nèi)容更信服：a lot，definitely，especially，extremely，greatly，terribly，really，very。

　　客觀條件許可,could 為 can 的過(guò)去式。

　　Can you pass me the books?

　　你能給我遞一下書嗎 ?

　　Could you help me, please?

　　請(qǐng)問(wèn),你能幫助我嗎?

　　What can you do?

　　你能干點(diǎn)什么呢?

　　Can you be sure?

　　你有把握嗎?

　　can 和could 只能用于現(xiàn)在式和過(guò)去式兩種時(shí)態(tài),將來(lái)時(shí)態(tài)用 be able to 來(lái)表示。

這么說(shuō)不是要學(xué)生去背誦，要真那樣被閱卷者發(fā)現(xiàn)，就徹底完了，不僅會(huì)得0分，搞不好還會(huì)弄出個(gè)學(xué)術(shù)剽竊的麻煩。

這個(gè)電影給我們的經(jīng)典啟示就是，一定要學(xué)會(huì)講廢話，要學(xué)會(huì)鋪墊，把真正激動(dòng)人心的東西先壓抑著，在關(guān)鍵時(shí)刻再拿出來(lái)。

稍顯遺憾的是，結(jié)尾的后半部分內(nèi)容有些不足，其實(shí)可以再多寫一兩句，以免給閱卷者留下草草結(jié)尾的感覺(jué)。
