（3）如果編號(hào)較大，則用名詞+數(shù)字。如：Room 326

4th July is an important date in American history.

應(yīng)該寫成The fourth of July...

19 couples took part in the ballroom dancing competition.

19對(duì)選手參加了交際舞比賽。

應(yīng)改寫成：Nineteen couples took...

60％ profit was a reported．

據(jù)報(bào)道有60％的利潤(rùn)。

應(yīng)改寫成：Sixty per cent profit...

1345 kilograms force was applied at the center point of the bar.

試驗(yàn)時(shí)，在桿的中點(diǎn)加了1345公斤力。

可改成When tested, a force of l345 kg was applied...

When I was a child,I often played football in the street.

And the past can in some way help us to predict about the future.

4.用過(guò)去時(shí)表示現(xiàn)在，表示的是委婉語(yǔ)氣。這類動(dòng)詞有兩類：

【例】The little girl's lips quiver, as if she is about to cry. 小女孩的嘴唇顫抖著，好像要哭了。

在外企工作的中層Mary說(shuō)，所謂的“夾雜體”說(shuō)話在職場(chǎng)中并不新鮮，“我當(dāng)年還是一個(gè)小職員的時(shí)候，有同事是香港人，講話就是這樣的，因?yàn)樗麄兊钠胀ㄔ捘芰τ邢�，有些詞不知道用普通話怎么表達(dá)，長(zhǎng)此以往，就經(jīng)常在普通話中夾雜一些英文單詞。但是這些香港同事其實(shí)是很想學(xué)好普通話的，他們會(huì)在事后請(qǐng)教內(nèi)地的同事，某些名詞怎么表達(dá)。不知怎么搞的，后來(lái)就變成很多同事也這樣講話了，可能覺得時(shí)髦吧。還有一些外國(guó)人，中文學(xué)得不夠純正，難免夾雜母語(yǔ)，甚至有些ABC也是這樣的。”
